BRIGHTON, Mich. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will be in Michigan in early June.
Cruz, a senator from Texas, will be the main attraction at a Livingston County Republican event in Brighton on June 3. He’ll speak at the party’s Lincoln Day dinner.
Local party chairman Dan Wholihan tells radio station WHMI it’s exciting to have a presidential candidate as a guest. A dinner ticket costs $60. A ticket for dinner and a reception is $150.
Cruz’ campaign in Michigan is being led by Saul Anuzis, former chairman of the state Republican Party.
