Police are investigating a homicide in South Bend after a man was found shot to death on a sidewalk near Morris Park Country Club.

Officers were called to the 300 block of North Manchester shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, where a male victim was found, according to a Tweet from South Bend Police. (Keep scrolling for a map)

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide remained on scene through the night and spoke with neighbors. 

“It’s always a cliché — this neighborhood is safe, this neighborhood is not safe, that sort of thing,” Lt. Dave Wells with Metro Homicide told WNDU. “Seems that you get more shootings so to speak on one side of town than the other, but it can happen anywhere. People need to be cognizant of that.”
