Pet of the Week: Basil is looking for a home with a loving family and a backyard with a privacy fence

Looking for a new furry four-legged friend? The Humane Society of St. Joseph County has several dogs, cats, birds and other animals looking for a forever home.

This week’s 95.3 MNC Pet of the Week is Basil, a 2-year-old neutered shepherd mix. Here’s more about him:

I was adopted from the Humane Society when I was just a pup. My owners brought me back because they did not have a fenced yard for me to run in. They said that I am an active dog who is mild and gentle natured. I get along well with kids, cats and dogs. I am also house trained and I know how to sit, stay and shake hands on request! If you have a KONG full of peanut butter for me, I think we could be great friends. I need a family with a 6-foot privacy fence.
