FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) — A former Capitol Police officer has been sentence to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a child molestation charge alleging that he fondled a young girl in a swimming pool.

Forty-three-year-old Scott Litten was charged with child molestation after two adults said he kissed and inappropriately touched the 11-year-old girl during a party in August 2013.

The Anderson man pleaded guilty to a child molestation charge and was sentenced Thursday in Johnson Superior Court.

At the time of his arrest, Litten had served for more than a decade as a Capitol Police officer. Those officers patrol the Statehouse and state office buildings in downtown Indianapolis.
