89-year-old Michigan man killed in hit-and-run crash in Middlebury

Police in Middlebury are looking for the driver of a minivan they believe struck and killed an 89-year-old man then drove away from the scene on Tuesday, June 16.

The collision happened around 6:30 p.m.

William Seeney of Redford Township was crossing County Road 16 near Northridge Drive when he was hit by the van, according to WSBT.

The driver of the van hit the brakes, but then drove off.

Seeney was taken an area hospital, where he died Wednesday morning, WNDU reported.

The vehicle is described as a dark red minivan with damage to the driver’s side mirror.
