Man robs Warsaw Low Bob's tobacco store at gunpoint

Warsaw police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at about 3 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Low Bob’s Discount Tobacco in the 700 block of Detroit Street.

The employee who was held up told police the suspect approached the counter after choosing some incense and cigars and asked for cigarettes, according to a news release from Warsaw Police.

As the clerk turned back around, the suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk couldn’t get the register open, so the suspect walked around the counter and opened it, according to the news release.
