Country music legend Lee Greenwood is best known for singing “God Bless the USA,” and now he’s hoping to inspire patriotism in kids with his new children’s book.
The hardcover book, entitled “Proud To Be An American,” was released on May 25 and is listed at $12.99.
Greenwood was a guest on Michiana’s Morning News with Mark McGill on Thursday, July 2, to discuss why he wrote “Proud to Be an American“.
He said he wrote the book to give parents and grandparents a tool to help teach young children what patriotism is all about.
The book brings the lyrics to “God Bless the USA” to life with illustrations. It also includes a free audio download of the song.
