Child found unattended and wandering in Elkhart reunited with family members

UPDATE: (1:45 p.m.) According to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57, the child has been reunited with his family.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying the family of and unknown child who was found wandering.

Around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, July 3, officers were sent to the 800 block of East Beardsley Avenue in regards to a child who was found unattended and wandering.

The child is a black male approximately 3 years old.

Officers have been checking the area since the child was found, however they have not located the child’s residence or family.

Anybody with information regarding the child’s identity, the child’s family or the child’s residence is

asked to contact the Elkhart Police Department at 574-295-7070.
