Several firearms stolen during recent burglary in Niles, police asking for tips from public

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect or suspects who stole several firearms and other items from a home in Niles, Mich.

Officers were sent to the home in the 2100 block of Spainsail Drive in Niles Township around 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 to investigate the break-in, according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

The home was burglarized sometime between July 1 and July 7, according to the news release.

It’s not clear what kind of firearms or other items were taken in the burglary.

Michiana Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects.

Anonymous tips can be submitted on the Crime Stoppers website or through the Facebook page. Tips can be called in free to 800-342-STOP. Anyone leaving a tip will be given a code number in order to remain anonymous.
