Indiana-Michigan Power making progress restoring electricity following Saturday's storm

About 7,700 Indiana Michigan Power customers remain without power after the strong thunderstorms swept through on Saturday, June 18.

The following information was sent to 95.3 MNC regarding restoration efforts:

Since 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning, nearly 6,000 customers have been restored leaving approximately 7,700 customers without power. High winds, broken tree limbs and wet ground have caused extensive damage leaving at least two dozen broken poles to be replaced.

  • Elkhart area: 4,800 11:59 p.m. Monday
  • South Bend area: 1,750 11:59 p.m. Sunday

MICHIGAN

  • Benton Harbor area: 550 3:00 p.m. Tuesday
  • Buchanan area: 530 3:00 p.m. Monday
  • Three Rivers area: 40 11:00 p.m. Sunday

Please note, many customers will come on before these times as outages are widespread and there are lots of smaller pockets impacted.
