Indiana man reaches 2nd plea deal in child neglect case

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (AP) — A central Indiana man arrested after his four children were found living in a mobile home without water, electricity or a working bathroom has reached his second plea agreement in the case.

Both 37-year-old Vincent Carl Zanghi and his 24-year-old wife, Sheena A. Zanghi, face four counts of neglect of a dependent for the conditions their children allegedly endured in their rural Henry County home.

Three of the children appeared dangerously underweight and one of the twin girls had a skull fracture.

The couple reached plea agreements with Henry County prosecutors in February, but a judge rejected those deals in April.

The Star Press reports prosecutors presented their proposed second plea agreement with Vincent Zanghi on Friday to a judge.

The terms of his plea deal haven’t been released.
