Trailer loaded with sausage stolen from Michigan truck stop

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a truck trailer loaded with sausage was stolen from a Michigan truck stop.

The Monroe News reports that the truck’s driver told sheriff’s deputies that she parked the refrigerated 53-foot trailer at the truck stop on Tuesday in the Monroe County community of Ottawa Lake and left for the night.

She returned Wednesday and reported it stolen from the truck stop.

The driver told sheriff’s deputies she picked up a load of sausage near Chicago and was headed to Ohio when she stopped.
