Two people struck by vehicle near Century Center in South Bend

Two pedestrians were taken to the hospital after they were struck by a vehicle.

It happened around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, outside of The Century Center in downtown South Bend.

The female pedestrian suffered a broken ankle and broken arm. The male pedestrian suffered a broken leg and broken arm, according to a news release from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

The vehicle that struck the two victims took off after the collision, heading northbound, according to 95.3 MNC’s news partners at ABC 57.

The vehicle police are currently searching for is described as a dark metallic or blue colored Camry, ABC 57 reported. However, there are conflicting descriptions of the vehicle according to the prosecutor’s office news release.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Police are asking anyone with any information about this incident to call Capt. Tim Spencer at 259-2966.
