Patrick Kennedy talks about mental health, alcohol abuse and his new book with Mark McGill

Former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy is in South Bend on Wednesday, Oct. 7, to speak at a fundraiser luncheon for Oaklawn during Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Kennedy, son of Ted and Joan Kennedy, is an advocate for mental health and treatment for alcohol abuse.

Kennedy and 95.3 MNC’s Mark McGill talked about Kennedy’s newest book (“A Common Struggle: A Personal Journey Through the Past and Future of Mental Illness and Addiction”) and what everyone can do to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and alcohol abuse.
