Pet of the Week: Missy is a spunky senior dog looking for a home to spend her golden years

Looking for a new furry four-legged friend? The Humane Society of St. Joseph County has several dogs, cats, birds and other animals looking for a forever home.

This week’s 95.3 MNC Pet of the Week is Missy, a 10-year-old spayed lab. Here’s some more about her:

Meet Missy! She is a spunky senior labrador looking for her retirement home. Missy got the royal treatment here including her vaccinations, heartworm test and a tumor removed. All she needs is a mature household to spend her golden years. Since Missy is a senior, her adoption fee has been reduced to $50. Need a reason to adopt a senior pet? The Humane Society of St. Joseph County has shared this list of 10 reasons to adopt a senior pet.

ADOPTION CENTER INFORMATION

  • Noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday
  • Noon to 4 p.m. Sundays (May through September)

Adoptable cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on appropriate vaccinations and tests. Not all pocket pets are spayed, neutered, microchipped or vaccinated.

For more information on pet adoptions, including fees and to see more available animals, visit the Humane Society of St. Joseph County’s website or call the Humane Society at 574-255-4726.
