2 Western Michigan University students robbed on campus

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — Two Western Michigan University students have been robbed on the school’s campus in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports that the school issued an alert on Sunday following the holdups.

A male student was walking alone late Saturday night when he was knocked to ground by a group of men. A small amount of cash was taken.

Another male student was accosted about an hour later by five men. An article of clothing was taken. One of the men told the victim that he had a weapon.

Campus officials urged students and staff not to walk alone and to be aware of any suspicious activity.
