Suspect shot in officer-involved shooting near North Judson late Tuesday morning

A suspect in a domestic disturbance was shot in an officer-involved shooting south of North Judson late Tuesday morning, Nov. 3.

The male suspect fought with police officers who were responding to a domestic disturbance call at a rural Starke County home at about 11:45 a.m., according to the Indiana State Police. The suspect was shot during the fight.

He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, but his injuries aren’t life-threatening, ISP said. No police officers were injured.

The Indiana State Police is investigating the shooting.
