Top Line Auto Repairs in Elkhart heavily damaged by early morning fire

Nobody was injured in a fire at an Elkhart auto shop early Friday morning, Nov. 6, but the business is likely a total loss.

Firefighters were called to Top Line Auto Repairs in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue just before 4 a.m., according to WNDU. The building was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

A woman and two dogs escaped a trailer near the business without harm, but firefighters are still searching for a cat, according to our news partners ABC 57.

The roof collapsed on the auto shop. Firefighters are investigating the cause.
