CJ Prosise still questionable for Notre Dame game against Wake Forest on Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Coach Brian Kelly says running back C.J. Prosise has been cleared for physical activity after sustaining a concussion. He still needs to pass another test before a decision is made on whether he will play against Wake Forest on Saturday.

Prosise was injured in a 42-30 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday when he landed hard on his left shoulder and his helmet hit the ground. Kelly previously described it as a “whiplash effect.” Kelly said Prosise would need to be cleared by Wednesday if he’s going to play Saturday.

Prosise leads sixth-ranked Notre Dame (8-1) with 975 yards rushing on 148 carries. Josh Adams ran for 147 yards against Pitt, falling a yard shy of the school single-game record for a freshman.
