Workers at Chassix in Bristol evacuated after a threatening note was found in a restroom

Workers at Chassix in Bristol were evacuated from the building after a threatening note was found in a restroom on Thursday, Nov. 12.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to the company on County Road 133 in Bristol around 10 a.m.

With the assistance of a Goshen City Police Department K-9, officers searched the building but were not able to locate bombs or suspicious packages.

Anyone with information on the person or people responsible for making the threats is asked to contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department at 574-891-2300.

Those who make a false report about placing an explosive device inside of a building commit a level 6 felony, which is punishable up to 2 ½ years in prison.
