TAPASTRIE OPENING VERY SOON IN SOUTH BEND

After a few soft opening nights, Tapastrie is very close to opening at 103 W. Colfax Ave., in South Bend.

The restaurant will offer Mediterranean-style tapas for lunch and dinner, Flavor 574 reports. Remodeling delays pushed back the opening but after the events last week and during the weekend, owners Tom Welsh and Carol Meehan are close to setting an opening date.

The small plate offerings have Spanish, Turkish, Greek and Italian influences and the restaurant also has a hefty wine list.

EVIL CZECH’S MENU HAS A NEW LOOK

Evil Czech Brewery’s menu got a little fall makeover.

Chef Drew Sachau pulled together a new menu to spotlight the best fall and winter ingredients, Flavor 574 reports. Some beloved items were replaced to accommodate the new dishes.

Look for the charred Brussels sprouts, Chinoise salad and a new sandwich, El Chapo, that replaces the Stockyard.

The new items will also be available during the Lightnin’ Lunch. Look for another update as the season changes again.
