Two people arrested on unrelated charges in investigation of death of Elkhart native

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Police say two people have been arrested on unrelated charges after being questioned about the fatal shooting of an Indianapolis pastor’s pregnant wife inside their home.

City police spokesman Sgt. Kendale Adams tells The Indianapolis Star that neither person is being held in connection with the Nov. 10 attack on 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn. The sergeant gave no details.

Investigators say they believe Amanda Blackburn was shot by someone who broke into the house after seeing Davey Blackburn leave about 6 a.m. Police have images from home surveillance video showing a possible suspect walking in the neighborhood.

A 21-year-old man who lives in an apartment that investigators searched Thursday tells WTHR-TV that he knows nothing about Blackburn’s shooting and hopes police find the right people.
