Curtis Hill announced on Monday, Dec. 7, that he is officially running for Indiana Attorney General in 2016.

Hill, a Republican, would be the first African American candidate on the statewide GOP ticket in Indiana if he is chosen by delegates at the GOP convention in June.

On Nov. 23, he formed a campaign committee so that he could accept donations while he considered the run.

He is running for the office that will be vacated by Greg Zoeller, who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2016.
