Five Michiana charities receive donations during Chase Tower renovations

Five local charities received truckload of donations in the past few months of items removed from the former Chase Tower while it undergoes renovations.

Furniture such as beds and tables and items like alarm clocks and paintings have been donated to St. Margaret’s House, The Salvation Army, Youth Service Bureau, Hope Ministries and Habitat for Humanity, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The former Chase Tower is undergoing major renovations and will eventually become apartments and a hotel called Aloft South Bend.
