Santa Claus will be at Potawatomi Zoo on Saturday for WInter Day

Little boys and girls in Michiana will have a chance to meet Santa Claus at the Potawatomi Zoo this weekend before he heads back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas Eve.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the zoo’s gift shop during the zoo’s Winter Day from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Zoo visitors can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus for a complimentary photograph.

Visitors can also paint a holiday ornament in the Learning Center Classroom and receive a reindeer headband. Face painting will also be available and the cafe will be open. The zoo train will run depending on the weather.

Admission is $5.50 per person, with children ages 2 and younger free, for Winter Days. Craft tickets on Saturday will be buy one for $5 and get a second ticket for free.

Other Winter Days for the Potawatomi Zoo are set for Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 20 and March 5.
