Warsaw schools closed because of fire at school bus garage

Warsaw Community Schools are closed on Thursday, Jan. 7, because of a large fire at the district’s school bus garage.

The fire in the 300 block of East 200 North in Warsaw was reported at about 5:45 a.m., according to our news partners at ABC 57.  At least eight fire departments are on scene.

Four full size school buses and one mini bus were destroyed in the blaze, WNDU reported. A sixth bus was damaged but may be able to be saved. Nobody was injured.

Classes will resume Friday, Jan. 8.
