Golden Dragon open again after temporary closure for health code violations

A Chinese restaurant was closed temporarily after the St. Joseph County Health Department said the owner served food to customers after the department ordered the business to close.

Golden Dragon at 3227 W. Sample St. was ordered to close Dec. 9 after a health inspector found several critical violations, according to the South Bend Tribune.

However, a health inspector saw a customer leave the restaurant on Wednesday, Jan. 6, with a white bag of food, the Tribune reported.

The restaurant was ordered to close immediately, but re-opened Thursday, Jan. 7, after passing an inspection in the morning.
