A 24-year-old LaPorte father was arrested after his 5-month-old son was hospitalized with severe head and spinal injuries.

 Cody Gnodtke was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, battery causing serious bodily injury and neglect of a dependent, according to our news partners ABC 57.

Police were called to IU Health LaPorte Hospital on Saturday night, Jan. 23, after an infant was brought to the hospital with serious injuries. The boy was airlifted to a hospital in Kalamazoo, Mich.
