Groundhog Day 2016: Punxsutawney Phil predicts an early spring in the U.S.

Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don’t forget your booties ’cause it’s coooooold out there!

That’s right — Tuesday, Feb. 2, is Groundhog Day, the day that a furry little rodent in Pennsylvania predicts whether or not we’ll have a few more weeks of winter or an early spring.

Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this year, which means we’re supposed to be in for an early spring. Of course, Phil isn’t the most accurate forecaster, so only time will tell if his prediction comes true.
