9 puppies need new homes after fire at southwestern Michigan house

Nine puppies need new homes after a fire burned part of a house in Union, Mich., early Friday morning, Feb. 19.

Firefighters were called at about 2:30 a.m. to a kitchen fire in the 71000 block of Spencer Road and were able to extinguish the blaze quickly, according to our news partners ABC 57.

Nobody was injured, but firefighters rescued about a dozen animals from the home, including nine puppies that need new homes.
