Bernie Sanders to rally at Purdue University and Indiana University on Wednesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders plans a pair of rallies this week at Indiana universities.

The Vermont senator’s campaign says Sanders will have a West Lafayette town hall meeting at Purdue University on Wednesday afternoon. Sanders will then have a rally in Bloomington later Wednesday at an Indiana University auditorium.

Sanders’ visits come a week before the May 3 Indiana primary. He is in a contest for the Democratic presidential nomination with Hillary Clinton. She plans visits to Indiana on Tuesday in Hammond and Mishawaka.

Sanders’ campaign says he plans to talk about a wide range of topics including money in politics, making public higher education tuition-free, universal health care and climate change.
