United Auto Workers Local 9 members still aren’t back at work at the Honeywell Aerospace in South Bend more than a month after the lockout began, and likely won’t be anytime soon.

Honeywell union workers were locked out May 9 after the company and union representatives couldn’t come to an agreement about the new union contract. A resolution wasn’t reached during meetings June 7 and 8 and another meeting hasn’t been scheduled yet, the South Bend Tribune reported.

Rob Williams with UAW Local 9 told the Tribune that Honeywell continues to make the same offer, while the union continues to ask for changes like less expensive healthcare costs.

Union workers have lost about $4,000 each since the lockout began, the Tribune reported.

Find out how the temporary and salaried workers at Honeywell are doing in the story from the South Bend Tribune.
