Man hospitalized after shooting in Elkhart on Tuesday

A 23-year-old man is recovering after he was shot at least twice in Elkhart on Tuesday night, June 14.

The man was at an apartment in the 1000 block of Portage Lane when he was shot in the abdomen and arm at about 7:10 p.m., Sgt. Chris Snyder with the Elkhart Police Department said.

The victim’s friends took him to a nearby hospital. He’s expected to survive the images.

The shooting is under investigation, but Snyder said suspects have not yet been identified.
