Police found $27,000 worth of heroin and almost $5,000 cash in a home where a suspected South Bend heroin dealer was arrested on Wednesday, June 29.
Ryan Daniels, 28, was charged Thursday with a level 2 felony count of dealing a narcotic drug, which carries a 30-year maximum sentence, and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. That’s in addition to the level 4 felony count of dealing a narcotic drug Daniels was charged with earlier this week.
After he was arrested Wednesday, Daniels admitted to police that he dealt heroin, according to court documents. He also said that he sometimes required his buyers to shoot up the drug in front of them and would revive them with Suboxone if they overdosed.
Daniels was also wanted in LaPorte County and has previous drug dealing and illegal gun possession convictions in Michigan. Because of that, Daniels is now being held on $1 million Corporate surety bond or $100,000 cash bail.
