Celebrate Indiana Bicentennial at South Bend block party Saturday

The state of Indiana is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, and one of the several parties planned is happening in South Bend this weekend.

The Bicentennial All-IN Block Party is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at The History Museum, 808 W. Washington St. in South Bend, and other neighboring historical venues.

Artisans, dancers, musicians and food vendors will be at the festival. Attendees can check out a photo exhibit, go geocaching, watch demonstrations and tour venues like the Kizer and Oliver mansions.

Admission is free and free parking is available at The History Museum and St. Paul’s Memorial United Methodist Church.
