A former St. Mary’s College janitor accused of downloading child porn while working in the campus library is pleading guilty.

Luis Morales pleaded guilty to seven counts of possessing child pornography on Wednesday, according to online court records.

Morales was fired from St. Mary’s College after he was arrested in February. Investigators said at the time of his arrest that Morales downloaded more than 100,000 child pornography files over several years and stored them on his computer, flash drives and memory cards.

No students were involved in the downloads. St. Mary’s College’s sole involvement was Morales’ use of the campus internet.

He faces up to 17 1/2 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 10.
