A 60-year prison sentence has been handed down to Joseph Anderson, 33, of Mishawaka, who pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation connected to four children.

Anderson also admitted to victimizing 34 additional children, according to authorities as reported by 95.3 MNC’s news partners at ABC 57.

The St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit Commander said it was the largest number of victims from one offender he has ever investigated.

Prior to his arrest in March, the Department of Child Services received a tip that brought them to Anderson’s home on the 2400 Block of 5th Street in Mishawaka, ABC 57 reported.

According to the person who left the tip, Anderson showed him pictures of himself and a 9-year-old boy involved in sex acts, ABC 57 reported.

Anderson was on a lifetime parole that prohibited him from having any contact with children under the age of 16.

At best, if Anderson receives all eligible credits, he will be in prison for 51 years, until he is 84 years old, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
