Transpo bus route adjustments for Notre Dame home football games

The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation announced service adjustments for the 2016 Notre Dame home football games.

Starting with the first home game on Saturday, Sep. 10, Transpo’s regular fixed route service will be detoured and/or suspended on the following routes:

#5 North Michigan – Service will be suspended for the 2:20 p.m. departure from South Street Station. Buses will bypass Saint Mary’s College starting with the 3:20 p.m. departure from South Street Station. This detour will continue for the remainder of the service day. For the 7:30 p.m. night games, the 3:20 p.m., 4:20 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. trips will be canceled.

#7A Midnight Express – For night games, the Midnight Express will begin service at midnight.

#7 Notre Dame / UP Mall – Buses will bypass Notre Dame starting with the 10:20 a.m. departure from South Street Station. This detour will continue for the remainder of the service day.

  • Outbound – From LaSalle Ave, left on Eddy St to SR 23 to University Park Mall
  • Inbound – From University Park Mall, left on SR 23 to Eddy St, right on Colfax Ave resuming the regular route

#13 Corby / Town & Country – Buses will be detoured beginning with the 10:20 a.m. departure from South Street Station.

  • Outbound – From Hill St, right on South Bend Ave, left on SR 23, right on Edison Rd resuming the regular route
  • Inbound – From Corby Blvd, left on SR 23, right on South Bend Ave (at Campeau St), left on Hill St resuming the regular route

#17 Sweep – The Sweep will only run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and may be detoured at Brother Andre Dr and SR 933 based on traffic patterns. The Sweep will be detoured on campus as follows:

From the ND Library, east on ROTC, left on Leahy Dr, right on Bulla Rd, right on Twyckenham Dr, right on Angela Blvd, right on Notre Dame Ave past the guard station, resuming the regular route to Saint Mary’s College.

Transpo’s Information Line is available at (574) 233-2131 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays to assist with trip planning and detour information.
