The long-serving Goshen Civil City Engineer will be stepping down next month.

Mary Cripe is resigning from the city’s engineering department to accept a new job in another city, she told the Goshen News.

Tuesday, she said that an opportunity arose, and her decision to leave the city has left her with mixed emotions.

Cripe, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor last year, has served with the Goshen Engineering Department for 15 years.

The city currently faces a large number of sizable construction projects, but Cripe says she believes she is leaving the city in good hands. She expects to remain in her office until October 10th to assist with the transition.
