Child molester from Mishawaka gets nine-year prison sentence

A Mishawaka child molester will spend almost a decade in prison for molesting a teen.

Angela Warren, 27, made a plea deal with prosecutors in August. Prosecutors agreed to lower her Level 1 felony for child molesting to a Level 3. That capped any prison sentence she could have earned to 10 years. She also has immunity from prosecution for crimes against other potential victims, according to the South Bend Tribune.

However, Warren must spend most of her nine year sentence in prison. That’s because she will be a “credit-restricted” offender. This means she’s ineligible for most good behavior credit. She won’t spend time on probation afterwards. However, she will have to register as a sexually violent predator.

Warren molested a teenager during the summer of last year, both at home and at the Mystic Moon Magick Shop in downtown South Bend. This while living with a convicted child molester named Joseph Anderson Jr.

Anderson has admitted to molesting 34 different victims. As part of a plea deal, a judge sentenced him to 60 years in prison in August. That deal included revealing the other victims, but he only had to plead to three Level 1 felonies.
