A man is dead after a shooting in Michigan City over the weekend.

Wade Hatcher, 26, was shot near the intersection of Michigan Boulevard and Hendricks Street at about 5:30 pm. Saturday. Later, he died of his injuries, according to Michigan City police.

A person of interest in the case is in custody. The investigation is still ongoing.
