The Mishawaka Police Department may have caught someone that’s responsible for a rash of recent car break-ins. However, they want to be sure.

A Mishawaka officer pulled over a Dodge Durango at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday at East McKinley Ave. and Liberty Drive. The driver did not have headlights on, according to Mishawaka police.

As officers talked to the driver, recent stolen items from vehicles were reportedly found inside the vehicle.

If you are a recent victim of larceny from motor vehicle and have not filed a police report or recovered your lost property please contact the Mishawaka Police Department Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684.
