Police in South Bend are investigating a bank robbery where the robber left a suspicious package as he walked out the door…all while wearing a skirt or dress.

The call came in at 10:35 a.m. Monday at the First Source Bank at North Bendix Dr. and Portage Ave., according to ABC 57.

The South Bend Bomb Squad used a robot to check out the package. The robot was seen carrying the package out of the bank. It was later determined that the package wasn’t explosive.

No one was hurt in the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male, between the age of 45 and 50. He was wearing a black jacket, blue hat, scarf, and a blue skirt or dress.
