President Obama hot sauce makes South Bend cafe customers hot

A South Bend restaurant is in hot water over a bottle of hot sauce.

A Chicory Café visitor noticed a bottle of hot sauce that featured a caricature style drawing of President Obama, with the words “Obama’s Last Day” underneath. It featured a description that said, in part, “The day Obama moves out of the White House will be the day that America gets rid of the worst President in the history of the United States,” according to ABC 57.

“It is a bad thing. It’s not a good thing. It’s an evil thing,” Eilene Bennet told ABC 57. Others like Joel Remaley think this is much ado about nothing and that we have bigger things to worry about.

Chicory Café’s management was upset the bottle found its way to the dining area. It had been set aside in the back at first and, once it was discovered by a guest, was tossed. You can read the full apology below.

The company that makes the sauce, Mo Hotta Mo Betta, is a Georgia-based company that historically has produced hot sauce with political labels making light of Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, George W. Bush and others.
