A man who police arrested on suspicion of an attempted home break-in in the Juday Creek edition late last week was arraigned in court.

27-year-old Tiago DeSouza was charged with two counts of attempted burglary and one count of burglary, according to the South Bend Tribune.

It was last Thursday when police say DeSouza tried to break into a home on Victorian Court and a home on Columbine, as well as a home on Juday Creek Blvd., all within a four-hour time span.

Investigators say the home on Juday Creek Blvd. had been ransacked. They also found some missing jewelry from the home nearby.

Police caught up with DeSouza after checking out a vehicle he had left behind at one of the crime scenes. One of his victims picked him out of a line-up as the man she shooed away when she said he tried breaking into her home.

He’ll be back in court on Jan. 19.
