There were no major injuries after the driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a home, rupturing the gas line, causing the home to explode.

It happened late Thursday evening, Jan. 5, near Rolling Prairie in the area of County Road 800 North and County Road 600 East, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Two people were in the home at the time of the explosion, but were said to be okay, ABC 57 reported.

The driver was able to get out of the truck without any major injuries.

Fire crews had to wait for NIPSCO crews to shut off the gas line before fighting the fire, ABC 57 reported.
