An employee of Macy’s at the University Park Mall says she was robbed at gunpoint as she walked into work Tuesday morning.

Police were on the scene around 9:30 at the parking lot on the northeast side of the mall, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The victim told police a young black male approached her from behind, put a gun to her head, and demanded money. The suspect took her purse and drove away in a white sedan.

Due to the license plate number given by a witness, the vehicle is possibly one that was reported stolen from Elkhart. The vehicle and suspect have not been found.
