Power outages scattered across the region due to high winds

Lights are out for thousands of Michiana residents, due to high wind gusts, which resulted in some downed lines and poles on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Indiana Michigan Power reported more than 6,700 customers in the dark as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Midwest Energy Cooperative reported 2,000 outages across all of southwest Michigan at of 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The most heavily impacted areas include Three Rivers, Union, Jones, Mottville, White Pigeon, and Bristol, Ind. Crews have been deployed and are working on restoration efforts.
