UPDATE: Crash in Bristol involving pickup truck and semi in Bristol kills one

One person was killed, and another was injured in a crash in Bristol.

It happened on Wednesday at Division and Kesco Drive when a pickup truck collided with a semi, according to ABC 57.

Police say the pickup ended up underneath the trailer. The driver of the pickup was killed. A passenger in that vehicle was injured. The driver of the semi was not injured.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.

Thursday afternoon, the victim was identified as 69-year-old Terry Shelhamer of Constantine, Michigan. He was just sworn in as a Lieutenant in the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Posse.
