A woman was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot in Michigan City.

Police were called around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to the 500 block of Holiday Street where they found the 28-year-old victim.

The 28-year-old man suspected of pulling the trigger was found in the area of Vail and Walker Streets, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The suspect is being held at the Michigan City Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant, ABC 57 reported.

He’s expected to appear in court on Thursday.
